The Role:

This is a contract position lasting approximately 3-4 months

We are looking for individuals with experience running HR services implementations, improvement or change projects. Ideally, implementations including deployment of people, process, and technology within the Talent Acquisition life cycle.

Candidates need to have a working knowledge of the full Talent Acquisition lifecycle from experience gained working within Recruitment, Talent Acquisition and/or HR function

The Senior Project Manager reports to the Regional Leader - Implementation and will engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

The role of the Senior Implementation Manager is to lead and drive all aspects of Implementation & Transformation projects, including new implementation, transformations, remediations, exits, and existing client projects, from mobilization to completion, ensuring a quality deployment for our clients & operational stabilization for our delivery teams. The Senior Project Manager may travel to client sites (and AMS locations) both in and outside of the region. The size, scope and complexity of projects vary based on the client engagements.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivery of projects to scope, budget and to time
  • Accurate project risk identification & quantification & mitigation
  • Team Engagement (gathered via feedback)
  • Client/Stakeholder satisfaction (gathered via feedback)
  • Delivers projects against an agreed set of objectives in line with contractual obligations and AMS’s strategic goals
  • Reviews, understands and applies contractual documentation
  • Briefs and manages project resources; sets expectations and coaches resources regarding the quality of associated outputs required
  • Where necessary, will assume workstream lead role e.g., Comms & Change or role of Client Direction for the purposes of the implementation
  • Owns, designs, and drives Project Governance including, but not limited to, the development and maintenance of the Project Initiation Document, project plan, RAID log, tollgate documentation
  • Chairs & develops briefing material for Steering Committees and otherwise ensures all key stakeholders receive regular and relevant communication
  • Identifies, quantifies and communicates key risks & issues, ensuring all relevant parties are aware
  • Develops, manages and communicates mitigation plans, working with other areas of the business and/or client to ensure successful resolution
  • Identifies and communicates where activities are outside of project scope
  • Facilitates Change Control procedure including working with colleagues to quantify impact of any proposed change in scope e.g. commercial team
  • Direct leadership of Implementation Workstream Leads including chairing weekly Internal and Client Project Review Board updates
  • Leads collation and playback of lessons learned on projects managed


Skills & Experience:

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of running resourcing or HR services implementation, improvement or change projects
  • Working knowledge of the full Talent Acquisition lifecycle from experience gained working within Talent Acquisition and/or HR function
  • Working with Executive leadership and stakeholders/clients
  • Managing others through a matrix


Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience delivering consulting engagements
  • Experience preparing content for and presented to c-suite level stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of multiple Talent Acquisition services e.g. permanent and contingent recruitment
  • Experience project delivery methodology and toolkits
  • Working knowledge of outsourced services contracts
  • Speaks a second language, Canadian French is a plus
