Role Overview:
The security manager develops, implements, and maintains security policies to protect an organization's personnel, property, and assets. This role involves overseeing security personnel, monitoring security systems like alarms and surveillance, developing emergency response plans, conducting risk assessments, and responding to incidents.
Work Arrangement:
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and manages security policies and procedures to protect people, property, and information
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Manage and train contracted security staff locally and across multiple states
- Oversee security systems and manage repairs and replacement if needed
- Leads investigations into security incidents, theft, or policy violations
- Collaborates with law enforcement, emergency services, and other external partners
- Interview new contracted security staff across the US and evaluate them on an annual basis
Education/Experience:
- Associate’s Degree required
- At least five (5) or more years related experience in a Security Leadership role
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certified through ASIS preferred
Other Skills:
- Knowledge of CCTV and Access control systems
- Report writing and documentation – Clear, accurate communication for incidents and investigations
- Familiar with security software platforms, incident reporting tools, and building management systems
