About the Role
Join the Center for Sickle Cell Disease Initiatives and contribute to projects advancing global and U.S. efforts in sickle cell disease (SCD). This internship offers hands-on experience in research, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement while supporting high-impact public health initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings across SCD topics
- Support updates to SCD “report card” metrics and indicators
- Assist with global SCD research, including contributions to white papers
- Help plan and support events (including an international SCD symposium)
- Track program data and support impact reporting efforts
- Contribute to evaluation activities and project documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate student (Public Health, Global Health, Public Administration, or related field)
- Experience with research and literature reviews strongly preferred
- Interest in public health, health policy, or global health
- Strong organization, writing, and attention to detail
Skills
- Microsoft Office (especially Excel – intermediate)
- Experience with research databases and literature search tools
- Basic data analysis and interpretation
- Familiarity with evaluation methods is a plus
