Vice President (VP), Information Technology & eCommerce
Requirements
The Vice President of IT & eCommerce is an executive leadership role responsible for defining and executing the company’s enterprise technology and digital commerce strategy across approximately 30 retail store locations and the eCommerce channel. This role drives business transformation, revenue growth, operational excellence, and scalability through technology, data, and omni-channel innovation.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP partners with executive peers to align technology and digital commerce initiatives with strategic priorities, customer experience objectives, and long-term growth plans. This role owns end-to-end accountability for IT operations, cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure systems, and eCommerce performance.
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Strategic Leadership
- Serve as the executive owner of enterprise IT and eCommerce strategy, aligned with corporate objectives and growth initiatives.
- Develop and lead a multi-year technology and digital commerce roadmap supporting store expansion, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Actively participate in executive leadership and strategic planning discussions as the technology and digital commerce authority.
- Present technology strategy, risks, and investment recommendations to executive leadership and, where applicable, the Board.
eCommerce & Omni-Channel Growth
- Own P&L accountability (or shared accountability) for the eCommerce channel, including revenue growth, conversion, AOV, and digital profitability.
- Lead the implementation, evolution of the eCommerce platform, digital UX, mobile experience, personalization, search, and checkout optimization.
- Drive omni-channel capabilities including real-time inventory visibility, and integrated customer delivery experiences.
- Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations to align promotions, assortment strategy, and customer engagement across channels
Enterprise IT & Technology Operations
- Oversee all enterprise IT operations supporting retail stores, corporate offices, and distribution/fulfillment functions.
- Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems including POS, ERP, WMS, CRM, and third-party integrations.
- Lead cloud strategy, infrastructure modernization, and application lifecycle management.
- Establish and enforce IT governance, architecture standards, and best practices.
Data, Analytics & Cybersecurity
- Champion data-driven decision-making through generation of enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence platforms.
- Own cybersecurity strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance (PCI, data privacy), and incident response planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Emphasis on Information Technology a plus.
- 10 - 15 years' experience in IT required with at least 5 at the VP level preferred.
