About the role
The Manager, Global Merchant Services & Digital Partnerships role is responsible for developing and executing strategy and tactical plans to drive revenue and customer acquisition/retention for American Express' merchant services and digital partnerships. This role requires a blend of strategic and analytical skills to identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities, develop business models and go-to-market plans, and ensure successful implementation and ongoing management of partnerships. Key responsibilities include: - Identifying, evaluating and pursuing new global merchant services and digital partnership opportunities aligned with American Express' strategic priorities - Developing business cases and go-to-market plans for new partnership initiatives - Collaborating cross-functionally (e.g., sales, product, legal, finance, compliance) to ensure successful implementation and ongoing management of partnerships - Monitoring partnership performance and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and optimize partner relationships - Analyzing market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to inform partnership strategy - Presenting partnership performance and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
