Engineering Director - Database engineering, Cloud, Relational database engines, Database operations

• Lead database management teams providing 24x7x365 support of production databases for renewability, database performance, tuning & troubleshooting, system monitoring, resource consumption & management, and capacity planning, aligned with industry best practices to ensure highly available enterprise-class database environments across cloud (GCP and AWS) and on-premises infrastructure. • Cultivate high-performing and diverse teams, guided by an innovation mindset, to operate efficiently and effectively in a stable, secure, and cost-effective manner. • Build strong relationships across our Engineering and Operations teams, collaborate to relentlessly pursue opportunities to advance our operational availability, observability, anomaly detection, efficiencies, automation, and customer satisfaction. • Participate in the development of plans and strategies, practices, and standards related to database management processes, products, security, and compliance. • Identify and direct initiatives to further operational excellence in infrastructure and service delivery by reducing risk, complexity, waste, and cost through machine learning and AI-assisted tooling that drive intelligent automation and predictive capabilities.
