Associate Software Engineer I

As an Associate Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support the core business functions of American Express. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions. Responsibilities may include writing clean, maintainable code, developing new features, fixing bugs, and automating processes. You will also participate in code reviews, collaborate on architectural decisions, and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science principles, proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript), and experience with agile software development methodologies.
