Project Engineer

We are seeking a technically curious and growth-oriented Controls Estimator & Project Engineer to support our expanding controls business. This role is central to driving revenue growth by increasing estimating capacity, supporting project capture, and developing into a seller-doer capable of engineering, managing, and eventually selling controls projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support estimating and take-offs for building automation (Automated Logic, ABB Controls).
• Assist senior engineers in developing pricing, scope narratives, and bid strategies.
• Participate in engineering, submittals, and execution on awarded projects.
• Support project coordination, customer communication, and field execution efforts.
• Develop working knowledge of controls systems, construction documents, and customer requirements.
• Progressively assume responsibility for project ownership and customer-facing coordination.
• Performs dual roles as a Controls Estimator and Project Engineer, with a defined growth path into project management for multiple divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Background in automation, controls, electrical systems, or industrial environments.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and construction documents.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Interest in customer-facing technical roles and long-term growth into project management or sales.

Compensation & Total Rewards

$110,000-$25,000
