Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for an Assistant Manager / Senior Executive (AM/SE) in Vendor Development & Costing. The role involves identifying and developing new vendors, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs. The professional will conduct detailed cost estimations, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality standards are met. This role also supports business strategies and operational requirements while ensuring adherence to timelines and cost targets.
Qualifications
- Strong Business Planning and Analytical Skills to support strategic sourcing and cost optimization.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Sales experience or capability to negotiate contracts and foster vendor partnerships.
- Experience in Training team members or guiding suppliers on quality and cost standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in vendor development processes in a manufacturing or automotive setting is advantageous.
- Relevant educational qualifications, such as a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
