Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Manager/Manager – Indirect Taxation (GST) – CA based in Mumbai. The role involves managing and reviewing GST compliance, including returns, reconciliations, and documentation for a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include advising clients on GST implications, tax planning opportunities, and structuring transactions in line with current tax laws and regulations. The position requires handling GST audits and assessments, preparing technical opinions and notes, and supporting clients during departmental inquiries and litigation. The role also includes mentoring junior team members, coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring regulatory changes, and contributing to internal knowledge building and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation, including GST returns, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Tax Law and GST regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply statutory provisions and judicial precedents.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Tax Planning and Tax advisory, including structuring transactions and identifying opportunities for tax efficiency.
- Candidates should possess a broad understanding of Tax concepts across indirect taxation, with the ability to connect GST matters to overall tax strategy.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant post-qualification experience in indirect taxation/GST.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex tax issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, work collaboratively in a team, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
