PhD Position Available in Next-Generation Wireless Communications at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid invites applications for a PhD position focused on the development of LiFi systems for 6G wireless access networks.

The research will incorporate energy-efficient Machine Learning techniques and integration with Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team located in Leganés, Madrid, Spain, and will contribute to cutting-edge advancements in wireless network technologies.

Requirements

– MSc degree (or equivalent, totaling 300 ECTS including BSc and MSc) in Wireless Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field

– Strong academic record and demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills

– Proficiency in Matlab and/or Python

– Good command of English (oral and written)

– Ability to work both independently and within a team

– Excellent communication skills; previous international experience is desirable but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities

– Research and development of LiFi systems for 6G wireless access networks

– Investigation of energy-efficient Machine Learning techniques for LiFi applications

– Design and integration of IoT solutions within wireless networks
