Designation: Executive – Alumni Relations
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in alumni relations, event management, customer relationship management (CRM), education, corporate relations, administration, or stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in organizing events, alumni engagement programs, and community outreach will be preferred.
- Experience in fundraising initiatives, mentorship programs, and CRM/database management will be an added advantage.

Education
- Graduate in any discipline (Mandatory).
- Postgraduate qualification in Management, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Role Summary
The Executive – Alumni Relations will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of alumni engagement initiatives across the University. The role focuses on strengthening relationships with alumni through events, mentorship programs, networking opportunities, digital communication, and fundraising initiatives. The position requires close coordination with alumni, academic departments, placement teams, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to build a vibrant and engaged alumni community.
Roles and Responsibilities
Alumni Engagement & Relationship Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni engagement initiatives, reunions, chapter meets, networking sessions, and alumni recognition programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni across different industries and geographies.
- Identify and engage distinguished alumni for institutional initiatives and strategic collaborations.
Events & Student Engagement
- Organize alumni interactions with students through guest lectures, panel discussions, career talks, industry connect sessions, and leadership interactions.
- Coordinate alumni participation in university events, conferences, and institutional activities.
- Support the planning and execution of annual alumni meets and special engagement programs.
Mentorship & Career Development
- Coordinate and monitor alumni mentorship and mentor–mentee programs.
- Facilitate alumni participation in student mentoring, career guidance, internships, placements, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Placement Cell and academic departments to strengthen alumni involvement in career development activities.
Database Management & Alumni Analytics
- Maintain, verify, and regularly update the alumni database using CRM and digital platforms.
- Conduct alumni data mining and segmentation based on graduation year, specialization, geography, industry, designation, and achievements.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and alumni engagement analytics for management.
Communication & Digital Engagement
- Develop and manage alumni communication through emails, newsletters, social media platforms, WhatsApp communities, and the alumni portal.
- Promote alumni success stories, achievements, and university initiatives through digital communication channels.
- Support content creation for alumni publications and promotional campaigns.
Fundraising & Institutional Development
- Support alumni giving campaigns, fundraising initiatives, scholarships, endowment programs, and sponsorship activities.
- Encourage alumni participation in institutional development projects and philanthropic initiatives.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for corporate partnerships through alumni networks.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with academic departments, Placement Cell, Admissions, student clubs, and administrative teams for alumni engagement activities.
- Build relationships with alumni chapters and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) across cities, states, and countries.
- Facilitate collaborations for research, internships, placements, curriculum development, and industry partnerships.
Reporting & Documentation
- Collect feedback from alumni engagement activities and prepare periodic reports.
- Analyse engagement metrics and maintain documentation for accreditation (NAAC, NBA, etc.) and institutional reporting.
- Maintain records of alumni activities, events, and communications.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Support day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the Alumni Relations Department.
- Recommend improvements in alumni engagement processes, communication strategies, and database management.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy while handling alumni information and institutional data.
Required Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of CRM/database management and data analysis.

Salary
₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Based on qualifications and relevant experience.)
