Power BI Developer

Exp: 8 - 15 Years
Location: Chennai - Hybrid
Mandatory Skills: Power BI, SQL, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query and DAX.
 

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in creating compelling data visualizations,
implementing efficient SQL queries, and utilizing Power BI to drive business intelligence solutions. You
will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and
reporting solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
● Work with SQL databases to extract, clean, and transform data for reporting.
● Create and maintain Power BI models, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and performant.
● Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver
solutions that align with business goals.
● Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI reports for performance improvements.
● Implement data security and access controls within Power BI.
● Integrate Power BI with other enterprise data sources and tools.
● Document Power BI processes, procedures, and solutions.
● Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Power BI solutions.
● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
 

Required Skills & Qualifications:
● Experience: 8-15 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or
Power BI development.
● Power BI Expertise: Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and
Power Query for data transformation.
● SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, data extraction, and database management.
● Data Modeling: Experience in building efficient and effective data models within Power BI.
● Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience working
with large datasets.
● Reporting & Visualization: Expertise in creating interactive reports and dashboards that
provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
● Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
and present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
● Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide solutions that meet
business requirements.
 

Power BI Certification:
● Must have a Power BI certification (e.g., DA-100 or equivalent).
● BI 300 Certification is an added advantage. (Not Mandatory)
 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related
field (B.Tech preferred
