Altera is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager – Indirect Procurement to lead strategic sourcing programs and supplier partnerships across key indirect spend categories! This role delivers measurable business impact through complex contract negotiations, supplier management, and category strategy in a fast‑paced semiconductor environment. You will drive cost efficiency, mitigate risk, and enable operational excellence across enterprise functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex sourcing programs across IT, finance, HR, facilities, and operations to deliver new capabilities and improve service delivery.
Develop and execute category strategies across indirect spend areas (e.g., IT services, professional services, facilities, logistics).
Negotiate complex, high‑value contracts and commercial terms across multiple indirect categories.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, innovation initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business requirements and demand planning.
Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies to address cost, risk, and supply continuity.
Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, and value creation through analytics, benchmarking, and supplier collaboration.
Collaborate with finance and legal to resolve supplier disputes and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

Qualifications:
Must‑Have Skills (Required)
Extensive experience in indirect procurement / strategic sourcing across multiple categories.
Proven expertise in negotiating complex, high‑value contracts across categories such as IT services, professional services, facilities, and corporate services.
Deep understanding of contract structures, pricing models, terms & conditions, and risk allocation.
Demonstrated ability to lead end‑to‑end sourcing, supplier selection, and multi‑round negotiations with senior supplier stakeholders.
Strong experience in supplier relationship management, including performance, risk mitigation, and executive‑level engagement.
Advanced analytical capabilities including spend analysis, should‑cost modeling, and TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis.
Proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and drive alignment across finance, legal, and business teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience in semiconductor, technology, or manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with procurement and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Ariba, Coupa).
Experience managing global supplier portfolios and multi‑region sourcing strategies.
Knowledge of sustainability, regulatory compliance, and supplier governance frameworks.
MBA or advanced degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
