Engineering Manager - Cloud Platform Engineer Core

The Engineering Manager - Cloud Platform Engineer Core will be responsible for managing a team of Cloud Platform Engineers, who are responsible for building and maintaining the core cloud infrastructure platforms that power AlphaSense's products and services. This is a key engineering leadership role that will have a significant impact on the technical direction and architecture of our cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities: - Manage and lead a team of Cloud Platform Engineers responsible for building and maintaining the core cloud infrastructure platforms - Work with engineering leadership to define the technical roadmap and strategy for the cloud infrastructure - Mentor and develop the engineers on the team, helping them grow both technically and as leaders - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure the cloud infrastructure is meeting the needs of the business - Drive initiatives to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of the cloud infrastructure - Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new engineers for the team Qualifications: - 5+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer or DevOps engineer, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and platforms - 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team of engineers - Proven track record of building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure - Strong technical skills in areas such as cloud architecture, containerization, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams - Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment is a plus
