Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Primary Care

Alluvion Health is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our primary care team in Choteau, MT.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and providers in a fast-paced clinic environment and who values teamwork, quality care, and meaningful community impact. You will play an important role in supporting patient visits, coordinating care, documenting services, assisting with procedures, and helping ensure patients receive timely, respectful, and high-quality care.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical support to providers and patients in a primary care setting
- Room patients, gather patient information, and obtain vital signs
- Prepare patients for exams, treatments, and procedures
- Assist providers during exams and carry out clinical tasks according to licensure and clinic protocols
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as permitted by licensure
- Document patient information, care, treatments, and follow-up accurately in the electronic medical record
- Review patient charts for completeness and updates before visits
- Support patient flow and help ensure efficient clinic operations
- Coordinate referrals to specialists, community resources, and outside services
- Provide patient education and reinforce preventive care guidance
- Answer calls, respond to messages, and assist with timely patient communication
- Stock supplies, prepare exam rooms, and support clinic organization and cleanliness
- Participate in team huddles, meetings, quality improvement activities, and other clinic initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA, safety, and organizational policies
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program required
- Current Medical Assistant certification required
- 1-2 years of experience in a primary care setting or equivalent required
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Licensed Practical Nurse degree required
- Current State of Montana LPN license required
- 1-2 years of experience in a primary care setting or equivalent required

- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort working in an electronic medical record system and using standard computer programs
- Valid Montana driver’s license
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
