Position Summary:
The Security Officer provides a professional and highly visible presence at a luxury retail location. The primary objective is to maintain a safe environment while deterring theft and disruptive behavior through professionalism, awareness, and customer engagement. This is a front-of-store, observe-and-report position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong, visible presence at the front entrance
- Greet and engage customers in a professional manner
- Monitor store activity and observe for suspicious behavior
- Deter theft through presence and customer-service-based engagement
- Report all incidents, irregularities, and concerns promptly
- Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports as required
- Communicate effectively with store staff and management
Loss Prevention Guidelines:
- Observe and report only
- Do not detain, pursue, or physically engage with suspected individuals
- Maintain professionalism and avoid confrontation at all times
Uniform Requirements:
- Black suit
- White button-down shirt
- Black tie
- Black dress shoes
- Clean, professional appearance required at all times
Requirements:
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Experience:
- Retail security or luxury retail environment experience
- Customer-facing or hospitality background
Work Environment:
High-traffic retail setting requiring constant visibility, professionalism, and interaction with customers and store personnel.
