Summary :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The QA Technician II, Receiving Inspection is responsible for approval / rejection of incoming materials and supplies utilized for manufacturing of finished goods. QA Technician II is responsible for case management / nonconformance activities.  


Anticipated Application Deadline: April 28, 2026 

Pay: $23/hr. - $30/hr. based upon relevant experience 

Shift: Monday – Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 Inspection and Test

  • Perform visual and gauge-based inspection of incoming materials and supplies based on defined specifications, conformity to standards, and processing requirements.
  • Utilize statistically based sampling plans for inspections.
  • Request and review certificates of quality for incoming materials and supplies.
  • Identify material errors and make quality decisions of incoming materials and supplies based on approved requirements.
  • Issue discrepant material reports for all nonconforming supplies and materials.
  • Quarantine nonconforming material in secure, designated area(s).
  • Maintain and organize receiving inspection and quarantine area.
  • Assist with internal and external audit activities.
  • Perform case management and nonconformance activities as determined by team supervisor.
  • Support other QA team (cross-trained) activities as required to assist overall company objectives.
  • Assist Quality Management in collection of data, analysis of data, and report development. 

Communication 

  • Professionally interact and communicate with internal and external customers/vendors and process stakeholders. 
  • Works across multiple departments to resolve issues and communicate material availability. 
  • Coordinates record corrections, material resolutions, and elevates to team supervisor as necessary. 
  • Performs training, as required, for junior-level technicians. 

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Contribute with process improvement and procedure update projects.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent  
  • 5 years’ QA/QC experience
  • 6 years’ work experience in regulated industry in lieu of 5 years QA/QC experience
  • Proven ability with Quality Systems ensuring regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)


Preferred Experience: 

  • AATB Certification (e.g., CTBS)
  • ASQ Certification (e.g., CQI, CQT)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field 
  • 3 years’ QA/QC experience with BS
  • 1-year Receiving Inspection Experience
  • 1-year experience navigating ERP software
