Role Overview
We're seeking a talented Video Editor to join our content team, specializing in creating engaging and informative videos about sexual health topics. In this role, you'll edit both short-form and long-form video content that makes complex and sensitive health information accessible, engaging, and stigma-free. You'll work closely with our content creators, medical experts, and marketing team to produce high-quality videos for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and our website.
Responsibilities
- Edit compelling short-form and long-form videos on sexual health, wellness, and related topics
- Transform raw footage into engaging, informative content that handles sensitive topics appropriately
- Apply creative visual techniques to explain complex medical concepts clearly
- Work with content creators to ensure the final edits align with educational objectives while maintaining viewer engagement
- Create visual assets, animations, and graphics that effectively communicate sensitive information
- Balance educational content with engaging pacing and visual interest
- Ensure all content maintains a tasteful, professional approach to sensitive topics
- Optimize videos for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, website)
- Incorporate feedback from medical experts to ensure accuracy in visual representations
- Stay updated on video trends and editing techniques across platforms
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other relevant editing software
- Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility in both short-form and long-form content
- Experience creating educational or health-related content preferred
- Ability to create simple animations and motion graphics to explain concepts
- Excellent understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual communication
- Knowledge of best practices for different video platforms
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to handle sensitive subject matter with maturity and professionalism
