Role Overview

We're seeking an innovative SEO Strategist to lead our search visibility efforts in the sensitive and competitive space of sexual health content. In this role, you'll develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that balance search performance with the nuanced needs of our audience seeking reliable sexual health information. You'll work at the intersection of technical SEO, content strategy, and user intent, helping Allo Health become the leading discoverable resource for sexual health topics online.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy for sexual health content that respects both search algorithms and user sensitivity
• Conduct thorough keyword research around sexual health topics, identifying high-intent queries while being mindful of search engine content guidelines
• Perform content gap analyses to identify untapped sexual health topics with search potential
• Work closely with content creators to optimize new and existing content around targeted keywords while maintaining scientific accuracy and approachability
• Implement technical SEO best practices, including schema markup relevant to medical/health content
• Lead SEO initiatives that balance E-E-A-T principles (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) essential for health-related content
• Analyze and respond to algorithm updates with particular attention to how they affect health and sensitive content
• Collaborate with UX teams to ensure site structure and user experience support both SEO goals and sensitive user journeys
• Monitor and improve core web vitals and overall site performance
• Develop and track KPIs to measure SEO success, providing regular insights and recommendations
• Stay ahead of emerging SEO trends, particularly those affecting healthcare content visibility

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SEO strategy, preferably with healthcare or sensitive topics
• Demonstrated success in improving organic search visibility and traffic
• Strong understanding of current SEO best practices, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
• Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
• Knowledge of how search engines evaluate and rank health-related content (E-E-A-T principles)
• Familiarity with schema markup and structured data for health content
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience working with content teams to implement SEO recommendations
