About the role

**Responsibilities**: - **Curriculum Development**: Develop and deliver lesson plans that cover various aspects of ICT, including computer hardware and software, programming, digital literacy, internet safety, and information systems. - **Instruction**: Teach ICT concepts and skills to students using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and multimedia presentations. - **Assessment**: Assess student learning through assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, and examinations. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their understanding and proficiency in ICT. - **Technology Integration**: Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning activities. Use educational software, online resources, interactive whiteboards, and other digital tools to enhance instruction and engage students. - **Lab Management**: Manage computer labs or other ICT facilities, ensuring they are well-equipped and maintained. Supervise students during lab sessions, providing assistance and guidance as needed. - **Curriculum Alignment**: Ensure that ICT curriculum aligns with educational standards and objectives. Stay updated with advancements in technology and adjust curriculum as necessary to reflect current trends and best practices. - **Professional Development**: Stay abreast of developments in the field of ICT education through professional development activities, such as workshops, seminars, conferences, and online courses. Continuously improve teaching methodologies and strategies. - **Collaboration**: Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff members to integrate ICT across the curriculum and support the overall educational goals of the school. Work with colleagues to address cross-curricular projects and initiatives. - **Parent Communication**: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and any concerns related to ICT education. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and meetings as needed. **Qualifications**: - **Education**: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, education with a focus on ICT, or a related field. Some institutions may require a master's degree or higher for certain positions. - **Teaching Certification**: Obtain a teaching certification or license as required by the state or country where you intend to work. This may involve completing a teacher preparation program and passing relevant exams. - **Subject Knowledge**: Possess a strong understanding of ICT concepts, principles, and technologies, including but not limited to computer hardware and software, networking, programming languages, web development, and digital literacy. - **Pedagogical Skills**: Demonstrate effective teaching strategies and techniques for ICT education. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and accommodate various learning styles. - **Communication Skills**: Communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, particularly when explaining technical concepts to non-experts. - **Passion for Teaching**: Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a genuine interest in helping students develop ICT skills and knowledge. Motivated to inspire and empower students to become competent and responsible users of technology. NOTE: Must have experience in Cambridge / IGCSE Curriculum
