Alliance Health System is looking for a Data Analyst (ON SITE IN NJ ONLY) to assist and advise on company insights and decisions. This role will work with the operations team internally and will also have a focus on client consultation and service. The Data Analyst will be expected to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities Include:

Collect, clean, and validate healthcare data from multiple sources including Electronic Health Records (EHR), claims systems, and patient surveys.

Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights.

Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support population health management and quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure data integrity, compliance with HIPAA, and adherence to organizational data governance standards.

Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) for various healthcare programs.
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one statistical programming language (e.g., Python, R).

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Strong understanding of healthcare systems, terminology, and data structures (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HL7).

Knowledge of HIPAA and other data privacy regulations.
Preferred:

Master’s degree in a related field

Experience working with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) or healthcare claims data.

Familiarity with value-based care, quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings), and population health initiatives.

Certification in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or similar (e.g., CHDA, CAP).
