Assistant Designer (Full‑Time)

Allen Industries is seeking an Assistant Designer to join our Art Department. This is entry-level role is designed for individuals eager to learn the processes of designing and manufacturing signage and related products. The ideal candidate will observe, train, and develop the skills necessary to become a productive designer, capable of producing site-specific permits and drawings. 

What You’ll Do

• Communicate and interact with other departments to ensure satisfactory design solutions.
• Assist design staff in completing various tasks to bring each project assigned to fruition.
• Participate in continuous professional development to remain cutting edge.
• Follow the rules and regulation related to the safety of all employees working for the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to multitask and handle numerous projects simultaneously and the ability to always maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Excellent presentation, communication, and customer/client focus
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and results-driven
• Strong problem‑solving and time management skills and work independently, with minimal supervision
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with CRM/ERP systems preferred
• Observe and implement techniques in a proper manner to expand knowledge of the design process
• Ability to understand architecture and construction drawings

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Overtime as needed

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Associate degree from an accredited university or college in mechanical engineering or other related field.
