Job Description
As Senior Solution Architect Microsoft Enterprise, you will own the design, governance, and evolution of an enterprise Microsoft ecosystem. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural judgment to ensure Microsoft platforms are integrated, scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Microsoft Ecosystem Architecture And Governance
You will lead platform architecture across Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Power BI, and identity systems, while integrating Microsoft with core enterprise applications. The role emphasizes ownership, clarity, automation, and readiness for analytics and AI-driven use :
- Own the end-to-end architecture of Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Power BI.
- Define governance standards for usage, structure, permissions, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across all Microsoft platforms.
- Act as the primary architectural authority for all Microsoft-related decisions.
Identity, Access, And Security Foundation
- Own Azure Active Directory structure, including users, groups, and role mapping.
- Define and implement role-based access control aligned to Algoworks roles.
- Implement and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) across Microsoft and third-party systems such as Salesforce, Jira, NetSuite, and Keka.
SharePoint And Knowledge Architecture
- Design SharePoint architecture.
- Define site hierarchy, metadata schema, permissions, and governance rules.
- Own search, indexing, and discoverability across SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Partner closely with the AI Solution Architect to ensure AI-led metadata tagging, document classification, and automation integrate cleanly with SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Proactively engage with senior stakeholders in Algoworks to understand needs, and independently propose as-is and to-be SharePoint structures for approval.
Power Platform And Business Process Automation
- Identify and automate internal workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Reduce dependency on email, Excel, and manual coordination.
- Ensure SharePoint and OneDrive act as systems of record for automated processes.
Example Use Cases Include
- Resource Planning and Utilization workflows integrating data from JIRA, Keka, and SharePoint.
- AI-driven document automation where uploads to SharePoint or OneDrive trigger metadata tagging, classification, routing, and governance via Power Automate.
System Integration And Data Foundations
- Design and oversee integrations between Microsoft platforms and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, work management, HR).
- Ensure data consistency, secure authentication, and long-term maintainability.
- Document integration flows and data movement clearly.
Power BI Readiness And Reporting Enablement
- Prepare backend data readiness for Power BI across all core systems.
- Validate APIs, authentication, and data access paths.
- Ensure reporting can begin immediately when visualization or analytics resources are onboarded.
- Collaborate with Finance and leadership teams to support executive-level reporting.
Note : The role focuses on enabling reporting, not designing Communication, and Recording Governance :
- Define how Microsoft Teams is used across the organization, including channels, integrations, and policies.
- Evaluate and recommend call recording and collaboration tools.
- Ensure consent, compliance, and clarity in recording usage and storage.
Roadmap Ownership And Execution
- Own and maintain a Microsoft platform roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Drive initiatives to completion with clear outcomes.
- Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and and Stakeholder Communication :
- Produce clear documentation for architecture, functional flows, and decisions.
- Summarize meetings with outcomes and next steps.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders across functions.
- Ensure transparency and traceability in all Microsoft-related initiatives.
Scaling And Future Readiness
- Design Microsoft systems to support growth and future acquisitions.
- Create repeatable patterns and playbooks for onboarding new teams or entities.
- Avoid one-off or fragile :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Office 365 suite implementation and optimization, ideally with appropriate certifications (Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified : Enterprise Administrator Expert)
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end Office 365 suite buildouts and integrations
- Strong understanding of all Office 365 suite modules
- Experience with AI and machine learning integration within ERP systems generally and Office 365 suite and PowerBI specifically
- Business acumen and strategic experience
- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies and Jira
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through visually appealing reports and dashboards
- Experience creating visually driven presentations to convey complex financial and operational performance and trends clearly and concisely to private equity sponsors, senior leadership and the board
- Savvy at building trusted internal stakeholder relationships across the org
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
