About the role

Job Duties

  • Data Testing:
    • Designing and executing test plans for data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
    • Validating data transformations and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
    • Performing data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues.
    • Testing data warehouses and data lakes.
    • Verifying data migration and integration processes.
  • Power BI Testing:
    • Validating Power BI reports and dashboards for accuracy and performance.
    • Testing data visualizations and ensuring they meet business requirements.
    • Verifying data connectivity and data sources within Power BI.
    • Testing Power BI security and access controls.
  • SQL Testing:
    • Writing and executing complex SQL queries, including joins and stored procedures.
    • Validating database schema and data integrity.
    • Performing database performance testing.
    • Creating and maintaining test data.
  • General QA Responsibilities:
    • Developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
    • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
    • Collaborating with developers and product managers to resolve issues.
    • Performing regression testing and functional testing.
    • Participating in agile development processes.
    • Utilizing excel for data manipulation, and data comparison.
    • Providing detailed test reports.
  • Real Estate Domain (If Applicable):
    • Understanding real estate data models and business processes.
    • Testing real estate software applications and data platforms.
    • Validating real estate data accuracy and compliance.
Technology Stack

  • Databases:
    • SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle (depending on the company's environment).
    • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus.
  • Business Intelligence:
    • Power BI (essential).
    • Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
  • Testing Tools:
    • SQL client tools (e.g., SQL Developer, DBeaver).
    • Test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
    • Data comparison tools.
    • Excel.
  • Operating Systems:
    • Windows, Linux.
  • Scripting:
    • SQL (essential).
    • Python or other scripting languages (for test automation) is a plus.
  • Other:
    • Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
    • ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, SSIS) knowledge is a plus.
