Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Algae Research Scientist located in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. The role involves designing and conducting experiments related to microalgae cultivation and bioprocess optimization, analyzing growth patterns and biochemical outputs, and applying synthetic biology techniques to enhance productivity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and scale innovative technology platforms will be a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the candidate will prepare detailed reports, present findings, and contribute to advancing sustainable CCU processes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Microalgae Cultivation, Bioprocess Engineering, and Photosynthetic Organism Research
- Proficient in Synthetic Biology, Genetic Engineering, and Molecular Techniques
- Experience in Analytical Techniques for Biomass Characterization (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, spectrophotometry)
- Strong skills in Data Analysis, Experimental Design, and Statistical Tools
- Knowledge of Carbon Capture Technologies and their industrial applications
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Experience in scale-up processes or commercial algae cultivation is a plus
- Passion for sustainable development and addressing climate change challenges
