Data Visualization Developer - THANOS

Aleknagik Technology, LLC is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Data Visualization Developer to support the Total Health Analytics Nodal Operations Support (THANOS) III. This role involves close collaboration with data analysts, clinical experts and program managers to translate complex data into visual stories that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The position will be onsite at Falls Church, VA or San Antonio, TX, with remote work options as approved. Duties: Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and clinical SMEs to understand data sources, goals, and visualization requirements. Create user-friendly interfaces and layouts that communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Ensure visualizations meet accessibility and usability standards in accordance with federal guidelines. Participate in data validation and QA to ensure accuracy and consistency across visual outputs. Develop and maintain data models and connections to support visualization layers. Support ad-hoc data requests and develop custom visualizations to meet specific program needs. Document visualization standards, guidelines, and processes for reproducibility and maintenance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in data visualization development using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent. Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle). Strong understanding of data structures, modeling, and analysis. Experience translating complex data into clear, actionable visuals for non-technical users. Familiarity with Agile development processes and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Experience supporting government health programs (e.g., VA, DHA, DoD) US Citizen Hold Secret Clearance
