MAIN FUNCTION
The IT Application Specialist (Entry Level) supports the development, maintenance, integration, and optimization of institutional applications and enterprise systems across Albizu University’s Puerto Rico and Miami campuses. This role supports the IT Shared Services model, collaborating with IT leadership, functional departments, and vendors to improve application performance, automation, integration, and user experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 0-2 years’ experience in Enterprise Systems Support.
- A combination of academic degree, practical experience, and interpersonal skills is required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of SIS Colleage (Ellucian), MS 365 ecosystem, CRM systems, preferred.
- Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.
- Candidates must be fully bilingual, both written and spoken. (Spanish and English).
SALARY: $44,000.00 Annually
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide technical support for institutional applications and enterprise systems.
- Assist departments with application functionality, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Puerto Rico and Miami campuses under the Shared Services Model.
- Participate in IT strategic projects and application modernization initiatives.
- Maintain professional and service-oriented communication with end users
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and testing activities
- Support the IT ticketing system for application-related requests
- Assist with application documentation and knowledge base development
- Serve as backup support for other IT team members
- Participate in special IT projects and assignments
