In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced X-ray inspection systems, contributing to innovative hardware and software solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. <li>Develop and analyze X-ray system designs using CAD software</li>
<li>Select components for optimizing the system performance, work with suppliers on fabricating custom system components</li>
<li>Fabricate prototype parts in-house (e.g., using a mill, lathe, or 3D printer)</li>
<li>Assemble prototype systems by integrating mechanical components with actuators and data acquisition hardware, while verifying the system functionality with respect to the design parameters</li>
<li>Conduct field testing and demonstrations to validate system performance</li>
<li>Collaborate with other team members to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality solutions</li>
<li>Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.</li>
</ul><div> </div><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><div><strong>Required:</strong></div><ul>
<li>Must be a <strong>US Citizen or permanent resident</strong>
</li>
<li>
<strong><em>Education:</em></strong> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field</li>
<li>
<strong><em>Experience:</em></strong> A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in mechanical system design and engineering</li>
<li>
<strong><em>Technical Skills:</em></strong> Hands-on work proficiency, competency in CAD software, excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities</li>
<li>
<strong><em>Collaboration:</em></strong> Ability to work effectively in a team to achieve project goals.</li>
</ul><div> </div><div><strong>Preferred:</strong></div><ul>
<li>Proficiency in Python</li>
<li>Experience with image acquisition hardware</li>
<li>Experience in programming/control of robotic arms</li>
<li>Background in aerospace, defense, or related high-tech industries</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.</li>
