Data Engineer II

Albertsons India is looking for a Data Engineer II to join our team in Bengaluru. As a Data Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that power our business. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources - Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytical and business intelligence needs - Automate data processing and orchestration workflows using tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, and Prefect - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Monitor and troubleshoot data processing issues, ensuring high data quality and reliability - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities to continuously improve our data engineering practices Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role - Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or Prefect - Hands-on experience with cloud-based data storage and processing services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) - Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts - Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Bonus: Experience with Kafka, Databricks, or other big data technologies
