Our mission is simple: deliver durable, innovative solutions that perform where failure is not an option. To support that mission, we’re looking for a Sewing Apprentice / Shop Hand to join our growing production team in Palmer.
We’re a small, capable team that values practical thinking, reliability, and getting the job done right. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn industrial sewing and fabrication skills, and takes pride in building quality products designed for real-world use in demanding conditions.
No advanced sewing experience is required. We are willing to train the right individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Job Duties
Responsibilities may include:
• Assist the sewing department with production of industrial covers, tarps, portable shelters, insulated products, and other custom fabric solutions
• Learn to operate industrial sewing machines and fabrication equipment
• Follow patterns and assist with measuring and cutting materials
• Prepare materials and components for production
• Assist with packaging finished products for shipment or storage
• Help maintain organization and cleanliness within the production and sewing areas
• Support set up and inspection of completed products for quality control
• Operate hand tools, cutting tools, snap setters, grommet machines, and other shop equipment as trained
• Assist with repairs, alterations, and basic product assembly
• Work alongside experienced team members to learn fabrication and sewing techniques
• Perform general shop duties and assist other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous sewing experience is helpful but not required
• Comfortable working with hand tools and learning new equipment
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic measurements
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well within a team environment
• Ability to take direction and follow through on tasks
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work
• Commitment to workplace safety and following company procedures
Compensation and Benefits
• Hourly compensation $18.00 - $24.00 DOE
