Position Overview
The Licensed Therapist or Associate-Level Therapist is a clinical provider who delivers evidence-based mental health counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups of Alamo Ranch Counseling and Wellness, in person or via telehealth. This role primarily serves teens, couples, and families, with the capacity to also serve adults presenting with trauma, as clinically appropriate.
This part-time position requires the ability to schedule 22 to 24 client sessions per week, including consistent evening and/or Saturday hours to meet client demand.

Primary Focus

We are looking for clinicians who want to build skill and confidence in relational and trauma-informed work, not simply those who are open to it.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Provide on-site and telehealth clinical counseling services as scheduled and in accordance with practice policies
- Maintain the schedule availability to hold 22 to 24 client sessions per week, including consistent evening and/or Saturday hours
- Maintain caseload and clinical performance metrics consistent with practice expectations
- Maintain appropriate licensure and abide by all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics
- Practice within the scope of competence and seek consultation, supervision, or referral when clinically indicated
Documentation and Records
- Complete clinical documentation, including intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, contract notes, and termination notes, within 48 hours.
- Keep client files accurate, current, and compliant with practice standards
- Respond to client service requests, calls, and voicemails within 48 hours
- Respond to admin and staff communications within 48 hours
Client Care and Coordination
- Communicate with client treatment teams (PCP, psychiatrist, school, and others) as clinically necessary and with appropriate consent
- Implement and enforce the practice payment, billing, and operating procedures
- Consult and refer out when a client needs a higher level of care
Team and Practice Participation
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings, supervision, and required training
- Engage collaboratively, respectfully, and directly with all team members
- Follow the chain of command, raise concerns appropriately
- Demonstrate a passion for helping team members grow and learn
- Provide psychoeducation and assist with community outreach as needed
- Contribute one blog post per quarter when requested
- Conduct all counseling services in a professional manner that supports the reputation of Alamo Ranch Counseling and Wellness
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work
- Active license in the State of Texas: LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or Associate-level equivalent (LPC Associate, LMFT Associate, LMSW pursuing LCSW). A copy must be provided to Alamo Ranch Counseling and Wellness.
- Schedule availability to hold 22 to 24 client sessions per week, including consistent evening and Saturday hours
- At least one clinical niche or specialty area, such as trauma, anxiety, grief, children, adolescents, couples, or anger management
- Genuine desire to work with teens, couples, families, and complex trauma
- Attachment-informed and trauma-informed lens, or a strong desire to develop one
- Prior experience in a private practice setting is highly preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on assigned tasks
- Punctual and reliable with regular, consistent attendance
