Description
The Director of Training and Planning is responsible for leading structured planning, training development, and operational readiness initiatives that support client implementation, product changes, business-line growth, and ongoing operational execution. This role ensures that client requirements, workflow changes, service expectations, and operational initiatives are translated into clear plans, training programs, and field-ready execution standards.
This position works directly within Operations and partners closely with Client and Product Implementation, Field Leadership, Office Managers, appraisers, Training, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure teams are prepared to execute consistently against client expectations, SLAs, and quality standards. The Director is responsible for establishing planning discipline, maintaining visibility into assigned initiatives, and ensuring work is documented, tracked, and advanced through approved planning tools such as Teams, Smartsheet, or other designated platforms.
The role plays a critical part in supporting priority business lines including Appraisal Clause, CAT, and Non-CAT weather, HBRO, heavy equipment, specialty equipment, auto physical damage, and related service offerings. Success in this role is defined by the ability to turn client and operational requirements into practical training, adoption, and readiness plans that improve consistency, accountability, service quality, and operational performance.

- Lead structured planning for implementation, training, and operational readiness initiatives, ensuring all assigned work is documented, tracked, and managed through approved planning tools such as Teams, Smartsheet, or other designated platforms.
- Develop and maintain training and readiness plans that support client implementations, product changes, workflow updates, and business-line growth, ensuring teams are trained, informed, and prepared to meet client expectations, SLA requirements, and operational standards before launch or rollout.
- Partner with Operations, Client and Product Implementation, Field Leadership, Office Managers, appraisers, and Compliance to identify training needs, planning gaps, and readiness concerns that may impact execution, quality, or client satisfaction.
- Coordinate and support training for Office Managers, appraisers, managers, and operational support teams, with focus on consistent execution across Appraisal Clause, CAT and Non-CAT weather, heavy equipment, specialty equipment (HBRO), auto physical damage, and other specialty service lines.
- Translate approved client requirements, workflow changes, and operational expectations into practical training materials, rollout plans, job aids, communication plans, and reinforcement activities that support field adoption and consistent performance.
- Monitor training completion, adoption, and post-launch readiness, using feedback, performance trends, quality findings, SLA results, and operational metrics to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with Client and Product Implementation to ensure vendor capabilities, system configurations, and workflow designs are effectively translated into field execution, training and adoption.
- Maintain planning cadence and visibility for assigned initiatives, ensuring owners, timelines, milestones, risks, and next steps are clearly documented and communicated to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of training, planning, and operational readiness processes, standardizing repeatable practices that improve consistency, scalability, and client service delivery.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position may provide direct leadership and oversight of Planning Managers, Training Managers, or other assigned team members supporting planning, training, and operational readiness.
- The Director is responsible for setting priorities, guiding work, coaching team members, and ensuring assigned initiatives are completed in alignment with operational objectives, client expectations, and established timelines.
- This role is expected to remain actively engaged in the work, providing direction, removing barriers, supporting execution, and ensuring planning and training efforts are documented, tracked, and advanced through approved tools such as Teams, Smartsheet, or other designated platforms.
- In addition to direct reports, the Director will lead cross-functional planning and training efforts with Operations, Client and Product Implementation, Field Leadership, Office Managers, appraisers, Compliance, and other stakeholders.

Travel Required
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 20% of the time.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university or equal years of experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, and/or organizational development is beneficial.
- Technical experience such as estimating platforms, software development, Windows products, and Server experience is preferred.
- Prior project management, leadership experience, demonstrated success with designing, developing, and delivering training programs.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices for training and learning.

Good-Faith Estimate (including bonus or commission)
The posted compensation range represents an estimate and may include both base salary and variable components such as commission and performance-based bonuses. Total compensation will ultimately be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
