Position Overview

Aksia is seeking an Associate to join our Asset Class team focusing on private markets (Private Credit, Private Equity, and Real Assets). Our Asset Class team is responsible for identifying potential alternative investment opportunities, performing due diligence, and proposing recommendations for client investments with a focus on managers and opportunities in the GCC region.

This position can be based in Dubai and will include regular interaction with global colleagues and clients. The candidate is expected to spend up to three months in London for training.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing, screening, and analyzing private equity, private credit and real assets opportunities
• Providing thorough qualitative research and financial statement analysis
• Conducting financial modelling, valuation, and sensitivity analyses to support the evaluation of secondary opportunities
• Managing third-party diligence, conducting research, participating with reference calls
• Liaising with primary fund asset class team to assist with the evaluation of underlying exposures
• Summarizing research into investment memorandums and presenting key findings to the Investment Committee
• Managing and maintaining internal database, including tracking investments and recording performance.
• Authoring private markets focused research
• Participating in business development activities
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or another related field
• 3+years of experience focused on one or more private markets asset classes, preferably Private Equity, Private Credit, or Real Assets
• Local experience desired but not prerequisite
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with limited oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attentive to detail
• Ability to think analytically and critically
• Strong Excel skills
• Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
• Arabic and English languages are a requirement with written proficiency
