Assistant Manager – Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

Responsible for planning, implementing and operation of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) System according to national and international regulations and best practices. Develop strategies to ensure continuous improvement of Safety, employee injury prevention, OSHA compliance program to support Safety Management System (SMS). Key Responsibilities: Ensure the EHS Policies and objectives are set and achieved by application of strategic decisions. Promote a culture of customer focus and performance management to ensure high quality and continuous improvement in service delivery. Design EHS strategies to reduce illness, environmental accidents that may affect employee and provide stakeholders with a safe and healthful workplace. Models and promotes an organizational culture that fosters safety practices through effective implementation of EHS management system. Prevent injury and ill health by continuously improving our EHS programs through evaluation, review and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions. Reduce or minimize the generation of waste to the extent feasible through source reduction or cost-effective recycling. Advises management on government regulations relating to OHSE and recommends necessary action to ensure compliance. Develop and maintain Akas Air EHS document to ensure regular, effective communication between EHS and departments/employees. Monitor and Identify potential EHS concerns & Hazards and recommend suitable mitigating actions. Design and deliver EHS training programs to provide awareness to all employees. Investigate EHS accidents/incidents/hazards and recommend the corrective and preventive action.
