Software Engineer - Front End

As a Front End Software Engineer at Akamai, you will be responsible for building innovative web and mobile applications that delight users and customers. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements, translate them into elegant and scalable software solutions, and deliver exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-performance, responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver end-to-end features - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices - Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and continuously learn and improve - Troubleshoot and debug issues, optimizing for performance and scalability - Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and tools Required Skills and Experience: - 3+ years of experience in front-end web development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS - Proficient in at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) - Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and browser compatibility - Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration/deployment - Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
