How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As a Shipping Lead you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. The Shipping Lead is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of finished goods by verifying task completion, accuracy of product picking and loading, and ensuring outbound shipments adhere to customer specifications and safety standards.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate available labor to complete material handling and shipping tasks within the warehouse.
- Conduct audits to ensure accurate product selection and quantities for each shipment.
- Oversee the loading of finished goods onto trailers, adhering to customer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies with shipment orders before dispatch.
- Conduct regular inspections of the shipping and warehouse areas to ensure a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Perform inventory counts and inventory reconciliations as assigned.
- Perform various team duties as needed to meet shipping deadlines, including operating motorized rolling stock and loading trailers for shipment.
- Conduct or validate training of assigned team members.
- Follow all plant safety procedures in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Maintain company attendance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of general warehousing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Ability to write routine reports in English. Ability to speak effectively with company employees and supervisors in English.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Six (6) months logistics, warehousing or shipping experience preferred.
- Motorized Rolling Stock (MRS) certification required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead assigned teams through daily operational tasks and success measures. Engage in training, coaching, mentoring, influencing and oversight of assigned work groups. Using servant leadership principles, model the company core values as they pertain to established policies, procedures and state law.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seasonally and moderately exposed to humid conditions and heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to height of 8-10 feet and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
