The Machine Operator will be responsible for the set-up and start-up of machinery and equipment. In addition, this role will ensure machines are running efficiently to produce quality products. The Machine Operator will also perform troubleshooting to ensure an uninterrupted flow of products.
Do you have what it takes?
- Adjust, and operate machines, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Utilize problem solving skills to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret diagrams and other work instructions.
- Perform quality inspections and document product quality to assure product is within specifications.
- Communicate with Quality and/or Shift Manager regarding questionable products and make timely adjustments.
- Monitor cycle times to the required standards.
- Work with team members and Shift Manager to improve production processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, quality checks, and machine settings. Complete daily production and quality logs.
- Adhere to safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
- Adhere to company policy and attendance standards.
- Report food safety concerns to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
