Airline Component Parts (ACP) is an FAA-certified 145 Repair Station in operation since 1994. We specialize in the development of customized repair solutions for high-value aerospace parts. Our business is currently growing fast, and we are looking for a repair technician to support repairs of commercial and military aircraft components/parts. ACP specializes in the development of DER repairs with a focus on customized repair solutions for high-value expendable components. 

  

Job Description

Entry level - Shop Support Assistant, you will be doing hands-on prep work with opening part housings, paint peeling and stripping, possible sanding or more. You will be working with the Repair Technicians as assigned in order to repair more electro-mechanical components/parts utilizing company provided approved data. 

Training, technical documents, and oversight are provided by ACP management. ACP is a great place to get a wide range of aviation maintenance experience and have fun at the same time!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning of aircraft parts in accordance with instructions and training provided by Repair Station personnel and in accordance with written procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations including required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).
  • Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including technicians, management, and similar.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks

Other Responsibilities

  

· Breakdown of housing units

· Paint stripping, peeling and sanding

· Working with or assisting Repair Technicians 

· Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.

· Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.

· Assist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician’s work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.

· Other duties as assigned.


Experience and Skills

  

· Looking for general labor with a positive attitude and work ethic is more important than experience.

· Mechanical and electrical aptitude is preferrable.

· The ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.

· Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.

· Punctual and reliable.

· Valid driver’s license


Education

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate degree or higher in a related technical field and mechanically inclined is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  

· Hourly position commensurate with experience and skill level and/or certifications. ($20 per hour)

Physical Requirements


· Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time.

· Hand and finger dexterity to inspect, breakdown part housings, peel or strip paint and sanding.

The ability to assess or detect details at close range.
