Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Stress Analyst to join our engineering team. As an Aircraft Stress Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to analyze and evaluate the structural integrity and performance of aircraft components, systems, and structures. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards. Your analysis and assessments will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of aircraft.

Responsibilities:
- Perform stress analysis of aircraft structures and components using analytical methods, finite element analysis (FEA), and other relevant techniques.
- Evaluate and interpret engineering CAD models, specifications, and technical data to determine the structural requirements for aircraft design.
- Conduct structural calculations and simulations to assess the strength, stability, fatigue life, and performance characteristics of aircraft parts.
- Identify and analyze critical stress points, load distributions, and potential failure modes in aircraft structures.
- Collaborate with design engineers to optimize the structural design, considering factors such as weight reduction, material selection, and manufacturing constraints.
- Prepare detailed stress analysis reports, technical documents, and presentations to communicate analysis results, recommendations, and design modifications.
- Perform static, dynamic, and fatigue analysis to assess the impact of various loading conditions, including flight loads, landing loads, and operational stresses.
- Perform detailed sizing calculations based on design requirements and applied loads.
- Conduct structural testing and participate in the evaluation of test results to validate analytical predictions and verify the structural integrity of aircraft components.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, regulatory requirements, and best practices in aircraft stress analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, materials, and systems engineers, to ensure integrated and comprehensive design solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) with a minimum experience of 3 years.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis principles, mechanics of materials, and finite element analysis (FEA) methods.
- Proficiency in using software tools such as HYPERMESH, ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar FEA software.
- Knowledge of aircraft design principles, including load distribution, stress concentration, and fatigue analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as FAA, EASA regulations and MIL-HDBK-5.
- Experience in analyzing metallic and composite structures is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
