Data Science Engineer Intern

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking an enthusiastic Data Science Engineer Intern to join our Certification Technical Directorate team in Bangalore. This team plays a pivotal role in aircraft certification, contributing to Type Certification (TC), operational approvals, rulemaking, and customer support activities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop machine learning and deep learning models for classification, regression, time-series analysis, and natural language processing related to aircraft certification. - Create analytics dashboards using tools such as Dash, Power BI, or Spotfire to support decision-making. - Work on in-house tool development for accessing certification data and predicting modification classifications, requirements, and involvement levels of EASA panels. - Implement text-based elastic search features for identifying similar modifications. - Explore AI/ML algorithms including LLMs and NLP for enhancing in-house tools. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning model development and deployment. - Experience with classification/regression, NLP, time-series analysis, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. - Dashboard creation in Dash, Power BI, or Spotfire. - Preferred programming languages: Python, App Script, JavaScript. - Experience with frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Langchain. - Familiarity with environments like Jupyter Notebook/Anaconda and Visual Studio. Good to Have: - Basic understanding of systems engineering and aerospace/aviation. - Knowledge of generative AI and state-of-the-art modeling techniques. - Basic knowledge of large language model development, deployment, and monitoring. - Exposure to software development, testing, verification, and integration.
