AI Engineering Intern

Role Summary The internship focuses on leveraging Artificial Intelligence to create digital solutions that drive Airbus's global transformation initiatives. Interns will contribute to AI-based tools and platforms used by teams across Airbus, optimizing migration and modernization projects like Oracle to PostgreSQL conversion, Microsoft platform decommissioning, and .NET application sunset. Responsibilities Develop and optimize Generative AI workflows using Python and LangChain Lead Microsoft platform decommissioning by planning, assessing, and migrating legacy systems Support .NET Sunset Program through analysis, migration planning, and coordination Design and implement prompt templates for Large Language Models (LLMs) Integrate real-world tools and agents using the LangChain ecosystem Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases Collaborate with architects to translate AI requirements into technical solutions Work with the AI/ML team to build interactive frontends using Streamlit or Gradio Deploy and test models/services on Google Cloud Platform Document progress, share insights, and participate in innovation sessions Contribute to new AI-driven initiatives that enhance operational efficiency Required Technical Expertise Strong programming skills in Python Experience with Machine Learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch Familiarity with Generative AI workflows using LangChain Understanding of RAG techniques and use of vector databases such as FAISS, Chroma, or Pinecone Proficiency in Jupyter Notebooks for AI experimentation Project experience using IDEs like VS Code or PyCharm Nice to Have Experience with Streamlit or Gradio for frontend development Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Exposure to API integration and building NLP/LLM-based applications Prior coursework or projects in LLM or Natural Language Processing
