Platform Lead, Aircover

As the Platform Lead for Aircover, you will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Aircover platform that powers host and guest protection for Airbnb. You will work closely with other platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to define the long-term vision and near-term priorities for the Aircover platform. This will involve: - Defining the platform strategy and roadmap to power the next generation of host and guest protection at Airbnb - Translating platform requirements into concrete engineering scope and driving the execution across distributed teams - Driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure the platform delivers on its commitments - Leveraging data and insights to make informed decisions about platform features and performance - Recruiting and leading a high-performing engineering team to build and scale the Aircover platform Minimum Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of building and scaling complex platform or infrastructure products - Strong technical depth, with a deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications - Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, set technical strategy, and drive cross-functional collaboration - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders - Experience working with cloud-based technologies and Agile software development practices - BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
