About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Senior Air Ticketing Executive / Team Lead to manage end-to-end air ticketing operations while leading a team. The role involves handling domestic and international bookings, managing airline relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring high service standards for corporate and tour clients.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership capabilities, in-depth knowledge of airline ticketing, and the ability to manage high-volume operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end domestic and international air ticketing operations using GDS and airline portals
- Lead and manage a team of air ticketing executives, ensuring productivity and service quality
- Liaise with airlines and consolidators to negotiate and secure best fares
- Handle complex bookings, escalations, and critical client requirements
- Ensure resolution of issues related to cancellations, reissues, refunds, and amendments
- Maintain strong professional relationships with airlines and travel partners
- Analyze airfare budgets, trends, and cost structures to optimize margins
- Monitor and improve team performance, TATs, and service delivery standards
- Coordinate with Sales, Tours, and Operations teams for seamless execution
- Ensure accurate MIS, reporting, and booking documentation
- Train and guide team members on GDS usage, fare rules, and process adherence
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and service consistency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in domestic and international air ticketing
- Proven experience in team handling and leadership role
- Strong working knowledge of GDS systems (Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre)
- Experience in handling corporate clients, group bookings, and tour series
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in MICE or large-scale travel operations
- Strong negotiation skills with airlines and consolidators
- Good understanding of fare rules, airline policies, and cost optimization
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and critical escalations
