Demand Manager (Master Scheduler)
Job Summary
Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a Demand Manager (Master Scheduler) to lead production planning and master scheduling activities that drive customer delivery performance, inventory optimization, and operating efficiency within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical leadership position in translating sales and marketing demand into achievable production plans while managing and developing the production scheduling team. The Demand Manager partners cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Management, and Procurement to ensure alignment, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development, execution, and ongoing management of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support customer delivery and inventory objectives.
- Translate sales and marketing forecasts into executable production plans using ERP/MRP systems.
- Partner with the Supply Planning Manager to develop and maintain capacity requirements plans aligned with the master schedule.
- Establish and maintain production scheduling processes that optimize productivity, reduce inventory levels, and maximize customer service.
- Manage, coach, and develop the production scheduling and planning team, including staffing, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supplier Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure material availability and on-time execution.
- Analyze inventory levels, safety stock parameters, and scheduling variances; recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare run-out analysis and exit strategies for discontinued products in coordination with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Management, and Procurement.
- Maintain and communicate key performance indicators aligned with plant-level and enterprise strategies.
- Prepare data, analysis, and materials to support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
- Operate within budgetary guidelines and contribute to initiatives that reduce operating costs and improve efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in material management, production planning, or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence outcomes.
In lieu of a four-year degree, an additional four (4) years of related experience may be considered.
Preferred
- Experience in inventory forecasting, capacity planning, master production planning, and reducing scheduling variances.
- APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD).
- Experience supporting or leading S&OP processes.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs require.

The work environment is primarily in a professional office and manufacturing setting with standard office equipment and a climate-controlled atmosphere designed for productivity.
