About the role
The Breakfast Attendant will attend to the complimentary breakfast hosted daily for our guests as well as cook shifts. Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of workstation, including storage rooms and kitchen.
- Cleaning and help with dishes.
- Transport all dirty tableware to dish washing area for proper cleaning. Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly.
- Perform general/routine cleaning tasking using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by Supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
- All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
- Perform any related duties as requested by management.
- Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Clean and dry floors to avoid slip/fall accidents.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
- Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
- Utilizes protective equipment.
- Reports unsafe conditions to management.
- Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
- Perform any related duties as requested by management.
- Assists other Kitchen Personnel when need.
- Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays, variations in shift days
- Availability: All team members are expected to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
- Ability to lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 20 lbs. This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, push, and pull goods on hand cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
