Position Overview:
Our client is an implementation consulting agency based in Hawaii that builds custom, AI-powered automation systems for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Their solutions focus on operational efficiency, business intelligence, and customer service.
They are seeking a Mid to Expert-Level AI Systems Architect & Builder who can take custom system concepts and turn them into production-ready, highly reliable software environments. This role requires someone who moves fast, takes ownership of the technical build, and prioritizes practical execution over theoretical frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Architecture & Build: Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI systems and AI-powered automation workflows for SMB clients.
- Rapid Execution: Translate client requirements into fully functional, production-grade custom systems within a target timeframe of 1 month per build.
- AI & Automation Integration: Implement live coding models, open-source AI frameworks, and API integrations to deliver solutions across operational efficiency, business intelligence, and customer service.
- Technical Ownership: Select, utilize, and manage the appropriate development tools, open-source libraries, and coding models required to complete projects efficiently.
- Asynchronous Collaboration: Work independently in a remote environment, delivering timely progress updates and meeting core project milestones.
Must-Haves:
- Proven Experience: Mid-Level (3–5 years) to Expert-Level (6+ years) experience as a Systems Architect, AI Engineer, or Full-Stack Automation Builder.
- Production-Ready Track Record: Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI systems or automation models in live, production-ready business environments (portfolio/project samples required).
- Speed & Reliability: High execution discipline—ability to build functional systems on time and meet aggressive project delivery timelines (within ~1 month of specification sign-off).
- Technical Expertise: Strong foundation in AI frameworks, API integrations, open-source libraries, and modern system development tools.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (secondary to technical execution ability).
- Prior experience in consulting or agency client builds for SMBs.
