Job details:
Company Description Maximor is an AI finance transformation platform built for the modern Office of the CFO, going beyond generic AI tools, narrow point solutions, and slow consulting engagements. Using proprietary context graph technology, Maximor maps how finance teams truly operate—processes, systems, and institutional knowledge—and then deploys AI agents to automate those workflows while continuously learning from each close. The platform supports end-to-end CFO functions including order-to-cash, treasury, month-end close, accounts payable, consolidation, and reporting, and is ERP-agnostic, integrating with systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Sage Intacct, and QuickBooks. Customers include mid-market and enterprise organizations, including public companies across tech, CPG, retail, and business services, supported by a team of forward-deployed CPAs and engineers to ensure audit-ready standards. Founded by former Microsoft leaders with deep finance transformation experience and backed by leading venture firms, Maximor offers a success-based commercial model with no upfront cost.
Role Description The AI Software Engineering Intern will work full time in a remote capacity, collaborating closely with engineers and product team members to design, develop, and test backend services that power AI agents for finance workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and maintaining APIs, data processing pipelines, and microservices, writing clean and efficient code, and contributing to system integrations with ERP and financial platforms. The intern will assist in debugging and performance tuning, participate in code reviews, and help document technical designs and implementation details. This role also involves working with AI-driven components, supporting experimentation, and ensuring reliability and scalability of features deployed to customers. The intern will be expected to communicate regularly with mentors, share progress, and proactively learn modern tools and frameworks used across Maximor’s engineering stack.
