Role Summary:
The GenAI Product Builder is a — part sharp product manager, part embedded AI consultant, part rapid prototyper. It sits at the intersection of business operations and AI tooling, and is explicitly not a traditional PM or software engineering role.
The person in this role will:
- Embed directly with Opptra’s functional teams (purchasing, merchandising, pricing, content, supply chain) and observe their day-to-day workflows
- Identify where AI can create 10x leverage and build working prototypes using real company data — not mock datasets
- Use GenAI APIs (Claude, GPT-4), low-code platforms (n8n, Retool, Streamlit), and simple API integrations as primary tools
- Validate ideas, prove value, and hand off well-documented specs to engineering for productionisation The simplest way to think about it: this person turns messy Excel-and-Slack-driven workflows into structured, tested, AI-assisted processes — and acts as the bridge between “the business has a problem” and “engineering has something to build.”

- Building a small team (1–2 additional GenAI builders for other functions or geographies)
- Shifting the question from “Does this work?” to “Is this improving, and who depends on it?”
