AI Platform Integration - Engineer
Maintaining and enhancing our Linux-based IPC platform, ensuring seamless integration with PLC systems and AI solutions. Manage updates, patches and system improvements while supporting industrial communication protocols and database administration as per EVERLLENCE standard.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux-based IPC systems (Debian Linux) in OT environments
- Integrate and continuously improve our AI platform and its interfaces to PLC systems
- Perform updates, patches and enhancements for AI solutions
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools (Python, Bash)
- Manage and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB)
- Ensure IT security and network stability in industrial environments
- Implement and support industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, OPC UA)
- Collaborate with the Oberhausen HQ and global teams to integrate new features and services
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
- Continuous learning and staying alongside with industry advancements.
- Perform to achieve the highest possible work efficiency

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux administration and system integration (preferably Debian).
- Solid understanding of networking and IT security principles.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming (Python, Bash).
- Experience in database administration (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, OPC UA).
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team.
